Policy and Terms

We have the following sales process:

browse and determine on your paper list the goods you will buy
email me at ... use "MuseumQuestion" in the subject line please.
or, go to our Contact Us page, fill it out.... list your shipping Address, Items, Quantities in the COMMENTS area
we immediately confirm your email AND follow up with an email verifying stock, price, shipping charges
please pay with your cheque or go to your Post Office and fill out a Postal Money Order for the total, in Canadian dollars, to DON TUTT
we ship (UPS) upon receipt of the PMO or your CERTIFIED cheque
if you send an uncertified cheque, we will wait to verify that it clears the bank before we ship. Sorry, not set up for credit cards.

Vacuum tube quality assurance: In purchasing tubes from us, your assurance of tube quality is underwritten by our use of the Heathkit Model TT1 MUTUAL CONDUCTANCE tube tester to test and rate all tubes, new or used. This tester thoroughly checks for leakage, shorts and gain. Click the thumbnail below for a closer look at the test instrument.

Tubes: We have thousands of radio and TV tubes in stock. Don's intent in offering tubes for sale is to share with fellow radio restorers.

TUBE PRICES are reasonable. Email to check our price.

all tubes in our inventory have test scores affixed on a removable label
we can match push-pull output tubes fairly closely
you can ask for new or used tubes.... used tubes range from 99% to 70% good
if you choose to buy a used tube its price is prorated from the new price, an 80% tube is 80% of new price

Tube research: Regarding used tubes much has been written about tube life. Basically the research boils down to this: a well made used tube might last as long, or longer than a poorly made new tube..... Don installed used tubes in radios he restored and they worked well. So we feel fine offering you the choice of new or used tubes.
