Obituary:

As a teenager, Don was a member of the Sea Cadets and the Air Cadets. He won an Air Cadet Scholarship for flight training and was awarded his wings as a licensed pilot.

At the same time he took an interest in Pipe Band activities. Together with his brother, Allan, they founded Terrace Pipes and Drums in 1973, Allan serving as Pipe Major and Don as lead side.

Don attended the UBC School of Engineering; He left that to commercial fish out of Prince Rupert. Following this he enrolled at BCIT from which he graduated as a Biomedical Electronics Technician.

Don worked in the field for several years, and then went on to operate his own business ventures. He was respected for his honest and fair dealing, both by customers and associates.

Left to mourn Don are his wife Heidi Tomlinson; his parents, Keith and Lois Tutt of Chilliwack; brother, Allan (Wanda), Barrie, ON; five nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Donald was remembered at a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 3:00 pm from Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, Chilliwack.

Sincerest thanks to all those who made hospital visits and sat at his bedside during Don’s last days.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chilliwack Hospice Society, 45360 Hodgins Ave. Chilliwack.

So far, so good. My friend and expert cabinet maker and refinisher just walked me through all the step in prepping a cabinet, Japanning and shading it; then top coating it. (See Pat Radio pictures 40-44 in Current Restorations. Then pic 1 as it was when I got it.) Hope you like it, Next is put the chassis back into it.
